The Rugosus is often confused with the Compressus.
Use the following characteristics to confirm that your crab is a Compressus.

First compare the armor leg.
Compressus often have a pinstripe of dark down their legs.
Next compare the eyes, shield and stitch marks. The eyestalks are uniform in color.
The shield has two black marks on it, the forward mark is long, like a slash.
The stitch marks are faint.

Compressus come in blues and greens, typically when smaller.
Their leg tips and claws are typically tan.
As they grow they will become more brown and orange.
